Refunds

This note applies to fees paid to Connectvectorgrid for a studio, notes pack, or Grid Mandate. The website has no checkout; payment happens by invoice after correspondence. Consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act remain available where they apply.

Eligibility

You may cancel a paid Atlas Seat or shorter studio for a full refund if we receive written notice at least fourteen days before the first lecture. Inside that fourteen-day window we refund fifty percent, unless we have already sent Reading Room files and you have downloaded them — in that case we deduct £280 (the notes envelope) and refund the rest of what you paid for that sitting.

If we cancel a sitting — tutor illness, too few seats, or a venue failure — you receive a full refund or a transfer to the next table, at your choice.

Timeframe

The cooling-off period for distance contracts, where you are a consumer, is fourteen days from the day the contract is formed (our confirmation letter). If you ask us to start the sitting inside that period, and lectures have begun, you lose the right to cancel for convenience to the extent of the service already supplied. We will state the start date clearly in the letter.

Full, partial, and none

Full refund: cancellation outside fourteen days before start, or our cancellation, or a sitting we decline after payment because we judge the programme unfit (no event stream, for example). Partial: late cancellation as above, or a Grid Mandate unused months if you terminate after the first table (unused tables refunded pro rata minus the first table). No refund: Reading Room notes once downloaded; a missed Saturday critique by the student; a request made after the final sitting; vendor-licence costs you bought from someone else.

Non-refundable items

Downloaded notes. Third-party software. Travel and hotels. A second colleague’s audit seat if we had already reserved remote capacity. Bank charges on a payment you asked us to return to a different currency.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds leave our account within fourteen days of our acceptance email. We return funds by the same method as the invoice payment where the bank allows it; otherwise by UK Faster Payments to the account on the invoice. We do not refund in store credit.

Cancellation by the student during a sitting

You may stop attending. Fees already attributable to weeks taught are not returned. Remaining unused lecture weeks after a written withdrawal are refunded at a simple weekly fraction of the Atlas Seat or shorter-studio fee, minus any downloaded notes. Critique weeks already held are fully earned.

Exceptions

We may refuse a refund where materials were shared in breach of the terms, or where the request is made by someone who did not pay the invoice. If a chargeback is opened, we pause a parallel refund until the bank case closes so we do not pay twice.
